Whitley Miller
Biological Systems Engineering
Hello, my name is Whitley Miller and I am a rising senior studying Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. I am very passionate about drug development, nutrition for disease prevention, and biomedical research. This summer I am working in a Bio-nanoparticle mediated drug delivery lab and working as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Both of these opportunities give me the experience to understand the essence of the healthcare industry and better prepare me for the workforce post-graduation in May 2018.

This summer I am interning at a local environmental consulting and engineering firm called Wetland Studies and Solutions Incorporated, along with interning at a cultural resources company called Thunderbird Archaeology. I am also working on becoming an American Canoe Association certified canoe instructor.
