NOLA ASB 2017: Day 7

By: Shelby Greenberg

After working all week I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we were extremely tired. However, arriving onto Magazine Street Saturday morning for the St. Patty's Parade, energy levels were through the roof. Getting to experience a New Orleans parade is a great way to be immersed in the culture of the city. Everyone comes out decked out in their festive outfits with out a care in the world. The people are really what make the parades something to be proud about. It's not about who has the biggest, most decorative float, but it's really about having the best time. Standing on the street as the floats go by, catching everything from cabbages to moonpies to stuffed animals, it's easy to tell there's no city quite like New Orleans. The party never stops in the city covered with beads.
